Who am I?
I am a technologist. A data geek. A cyclist. An espresso lover. A reader.
I believe everyone is capable of change.
I believe that all voices should be heard.
My life’s goal is to leave the world a better place.
My name is Carissa Dougherty.
Work-wise, I am a knowledge management practitioner, technologist, and communicator.
Education-wise, I am an architecture theorist, a demographer, and a journalist.
Hobby-wise, I am a cyclist, reader, and coffee snob. I also like to make things (treehouses, clothing, food).
Human-wise, I am a continual learner, a long-tail thinker, and an optimist.
Transformative Questions is my consultancy.
I’ve worked with museums, public gardens, and other nonprofits to improve information sharing, introduce new technology, and increase audience engagement.
I am intimately familiar with the types of funding, cultural, and leadership challenges nonprofits face.
My passion is helping organizations build their own capacity, so they can amplify their impact.
Finding the right solutions means finding the right problems—through asking questions and listening to the answers.
I’d like to ask you a few questions.
